Model species #2 is the Northern Goshawk Accipiter gentilis. It is a powerful predator, usually hunting its prey from surprise after a short chase.
Goshawk specializes in hunting other birds, mostly medium and large ones, but also squirrels. It is often considered a reliable indicator of birds diversity and abundance.
The latter is affected in great extent by the forest structure, therefore we hope to see the how forest structure affects their movements.
